Responsibilities
Provide inputs for the design and implementation of safety systems ensuring alignment with pre-set safety standards and guidelines. Assist with the installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of new safety systems and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with standards. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for the installation, maintenance, and repair of safety systems, as required, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations and patient care. Conduct regular inspections and tests, diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and promptly resolve safety system / equipment issues and malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and consistently maintaining a safe environment. Drive the documentation and timely communication of inspection findings to requisite stakeholders and ensure the timely resolution of identified safety system issues. Adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule for safety systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns, enhance longevity, and ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate documentation of safety system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities and safety-related incidents and near misses and support the identification of trends and patterns for corrective action planning and ensuring regulatory compliance and transparency. Implement emergency response procedures during threats, emergencies, and alarms to ensure the safety of employees, patients, and visitors. Support internal safety audits and risk assessments to assess compliance of systems with safety regulations. Provide training and guidance to staff on the proper use and maintenance of safety systems. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to safety systems and implement changes to systems and procedures as necessary to meet regulatory requirements. Knowledge and Experience
3 to 4 years of experience in Safety System Management or a related area, preferably in the Healthcare industry Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required Seniority level
