Director - Commercial - (CDU911)
Urban Ridge Supplies is looking for a Director – Commercial to oversee budget management, cost control, and comprehensive reporting for major transport infrastructure projects. This role requires strong expertise in systems such as Power BI, PRISM or similar, and must maintain financial discipline and accurate forecasting to support strategic decision‑making and project success.
Core Responsibilities

- Support the development of contracting strategy to achieve QIC's objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to commercial activities.
- Develop the contracts budget, collaborate with stakeholders, and align it with organisational budgetary requirements.
- Lead commercial and financial management and reporting; work with Directors to define objectives, track progress, and achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Identify trends and risks associated with cash‑flow forecasting against expenditure targets.
- Oversee contracting implementations, contract administration and change management, including value engineering across the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts and cash flows to align with financial objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance in resolving complex budgeting, reporting and cost‑control issues.
- Develop and implement risk‑management plans and maintain risk management practices throughout projects.
- Measure and report risk‑management performance at program and project levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and update team activities, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Projects and Project Controls to maintain effective controls on budget, cost, reporting, risk and change.
- Lead procurement strategy development for central procurement support.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Implement policies, software and processes to improve efficiency.
- Lead stakeholder management on behalf of the commercial function and maintain consistent reporting practices.
- Mentor and develop a team of commercial and reporting specialists, fostering continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree – Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal or related field.Professional Certifications (if Required)
Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors preferred.Experience
