Design Engineer – Primary or Secondary (Substation)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer (Primary & Secondary) to support the engineering, design, and documentation of high‑voltage substations (HV / MV). The role involves preparing layouts, electrical schematics, protection designs, and civil work interfaces while ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.

This position is open to candidates with Electrical or Civil Engineering backgrounds who have relevant substation design experience.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Design (Electrical / Civil)

• Develop substation primary layouts including SLDs, equipment layouts, bus arrangements, and general arrangement drawings.
• Design and selection of HV / MV equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, VTs, surge arrestors, etc.).
• Prepare foundation and structural design inputs (for Civil engineers).
• Create cable routing, trenching, and earthing layout .
• Conduct equipment sizing, BOQs, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and utility standards.
