We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety In Charge to oversee workplace safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role involves conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and developing safety programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and complaints, identifying causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Examine machinery, working environments, and structures; measure noise, heat, and vibrations; and take samples or photographs when necessary.
- Ensure employees are provided with and properly using the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Review and monitor safety precautions in hazardous environments or when handling dangerous substances.
- Stay updated on new health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety improvements.
- Monitor contractors and service providers to prevent safety risks.
- Prepare detailed inspection and investigation reports, maintaining accurate records.
- Implement corrective actions and issue warnings or permits when necessary.
- Develop and implement safety programs, risk assessments, and preventive strategies.
- Deliver safety training sessions for employees and new hires.
- Lead, motivate, and train safety staff to achieve compliance and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management within scope of expertise.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
Qualifications :
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.Professional Certification : NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001, OSHA (preferred).Proven experience in workplace safety management or supervisory safety roles.Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.Ability to train, supervise, and motivate teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
