To manage and execute the offshore installation of topsides structures in compliance with Saudi Aramco’s engineering standards, safety protocols, and project execution plans. The role ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of topsides installation scopes. We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Construction Manager to lead and manage complex offshore and onshore oil & gas construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring over 30 years of industry experience, including 17+ years in senior management roles, with a proven track record in executing large-scale EPC projects, shutdowns, and brownfield modifications in live plant environments. Key Responsibilities
Lead offshore construction activities for topsides modules including float-over, heavy lift, and hook-up operations. Ensure readiness of marine spread, lifting equipment, and topsides modules in line with Aramco’s GI (General Instructions) and SAES (Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards). Development of micro schedules, construction, supervision, and support the development of Job Cards. Develop and implement project execution strategies, schedules, and risk mitigation plans. Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and safety standards. Manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and high performance. Supervise major shutdowns, hook-up operations, and modular installations in greenfield and brownfield environments. Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with Saudi Aramco LPS (Loss Prevention Standards) and Construction Safety Manual (CSM). Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), SIMOPS planning, and emergency drills. Lead incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective actions. Interface Management
Coordinate with onshore engineering teams, commissioning, and logistics. Interface with Aramco’s Offshore Project Management Team (PMT), Inspection Department (PID), and Loss Prevention Department (LPD). Quality Assurance
Ensure all offshore works comply with Aramco’s Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). Supervise offshore inspections, punch listing, and mechanical completion. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily construction reports, lifting logs, and progress tracking. Submit daily and weekly reports to Aramco PMT and internal stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation of red-line markups and as-built drawings. Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure timely delivery within scope. Monitor and control offshore manpower allocation to ensure optimal resource utilization. Implement strategies to improve workforce productivity and reduce idle time. Coordinate with subcontractors to align manpower plans with project schedules. Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of offshore construction experience, with at least 5 years in topsides installation. Prior experience on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is a must. Experience in oil export terminal projects is highly desirable. PMP certification (or equivalent project management credential) is required or strongly preferred. Valid offshore certifications : BOSIET, HUET, H2S. Experience managing 150+ crew as a minimum. Deep knowledge of Aramco’s offshore construction procedures and standards. Strong leadership and team coordination skills in multicultural environments. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Detailed workplan level 6, and lifting analysis tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to identify bottlenecks and develop comprehensive solutions.
