Design Engineer – Electrical

Our client, one of the leading MEP specialist construction companies, is seeking to recruit a

Design Engineer

for their Electrical Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist Senior Engineers in evaluating the engineering content of projects, including designs prepared by others.

Support the Senior Engineers and Tendering Department in developing concept designs for Design and Build / EPC contracts, ensuring the use of recognized calculation methods for procurement and shop drawings.

Assist the Project Management team in all technical aspects of the works, including procurement support when required.

Liaise with the Client’s personnel to secure approvals for drawings, materials, and equipment.

Coordinate with CAD operators to ensure timely production of shop drawings that meet standards.

Responsibilities :

Gather requirements and information to prepare professional design proposals and test data.

Perform calculations using recognized procedures and approved software to evaluate system and equipment performance.

Review layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, standards compliance, and accuracy.

Ensure the timely execution of tendering and project processes through effective coordination.

Qualifications and Skills :

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of responsible experience, including supervision.

Experience with a wide range of engineering services for building and infrastructure projects, particularly electrical engineering.

Ability to support technical aspects of tenders.
