Senior Project Manager (Airport Baggage / Cargo Handling Systems)

in Riyadh, KSA. The objective of the Senior Project Manager is to implement and complete the project according to the conditions of the customer order and the defined project management standards in such a way that the contractually stipulated performance, quality and scope are delivered in compliance with the target dates and costs. What are my responsibilities?

Lead technical, operational, and financial project tasks for successfully implementing airport baggage / cargo handling system. Formulates project parameters and monitors progress, tracks key milestones, and reports on project status to stakeholders using various tools and methodologies. Organizing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and risk logs, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to project team members. Interacts with clients and interprets their needs and requirements. Identify project risks and issues, assess their potential impact, and work with the Project Team and other functions to develop mitigation strategies. Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the project management framework and collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices. Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and reports on the project's status. Collaborate with internal disciplines such as engineering, procurement, QHSE, contract management, and other internal cross-functional teams to create more efficient project execution methods and enhance the project's profitability. Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring alignment of project objectives and priorities. Interact with subcontractors to monitor and control their performance. Implement frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection. Ensure the project complies with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. What do I need to qualify for the role?

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management in Airport Baggage / Cargo / Material Handling Systems, or Intralogistics / Warehouse Automation, or Large-Scale Industrial Automation projects. Minimum 5 years of experience leading, coaching and developing project teams. Hands-on experience in managing complex project milestones and deadlines. Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices and procedures, resource and schedule management. Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and SAP. Working knowledge of Revit, ACAD and Conceptboard. A collaborative team player with leadership qualities, an open mindset, and excellent listening skills. Flexible, independent and able to handle stress effectively. Strong passion and proven success in achieving profitable project execution, distinct customer orientation and strong customer interface skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills with a creative, innovative approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment. Self-motivated, proactive learner with solid planning, organizing and influencing skills. Certification in project management by , alternatively PMP, IPMA or GPM, PRINCE2 or similar is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English, both written & verbal. Arabic or German is an advantage. Good awareness and experience in Environment, Health and Safety.
