Job Purpose :
The Capacity Manager is responsible for ensuring that IT infrastructure and services are right-sized to meet current and future business demands in a cost-effective manner. The role involves monitoring performance, forecasting capacity requirements, and ensuring alignment with SLAs and business growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain the Capacity Management Plan covering business, service, and resource capacity.
- Monitor system performance, utilization, and workloads across infrastructure, networks, and applications.
- Forecast future capacity requirements based on business plans, growth, and technology trends.
- Identify and resolve capacity-related risks before they impact service delivery.
- Collaborate with IT operations, architecture, and business teams to align capacity with demand.
- Ensure optimal use of IT resources while maintaining agreed service levels and cost efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards on utilization, trends, and capacity forecasts.
- Support incident and problem management processes by analyzing capacity-related root causes.
- Participate in change management to assess the capacity impact of new projects and services.
- Provide recommendations for infrastructure upgrades, scaling, or optimization initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in IT operations, capacity, or performance management.Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Capacity, Availability, and Service Level Management).Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Dynatrace).Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to interpret complex data.Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) capacity management is a plus.Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.Key Competencies :
