MACHINIST

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

Technical School / Vocational

Experience : Minimum Experience :

1-2 years of experience as Machinist

Skills

Job-Specific Skills :

Working knowledge of the various types of machine processes.

Working knowledge of alignment process for new installation / repair process.

Expertise in reading machine drawings.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Daily Responsibilities

Responsible for all kind of machine works.

Operating all kind of machine in shipyard such as Milling, Lathe machine, Shaping, Slotting machine, etc. propeller and rudder repairs, polishing and balancing

Reading and interpreting machine drawings.

Calibration of all inspection, measuring tools and test equipment in Machine shop.

Responsible of all clearance for ruder, propeller, shaft, & any type of clearance required and in compliance with the divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals.

Ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals

Housekeeping and maintenance of machine shop machinery

Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
