Electrical Supervisor

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our team in the electrical engineering sector, specifically focusing on UPS systems and data center operations. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and management of electrical systems within a data center environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly concerning uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, as well as the ability to lead a team of electricians effectively. The Electrical Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring that all electrical work complies with safety standards and industry regulations, while also meeting project deadlines and quality expectations. Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians and technical staff involved in the installation and maintenance of UPS systems and electrical infrastructure within the data center. Review electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of systems and compliance with project requirements. Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems, including UPS systems, to ensure they are functioning optimally and safely. Provide technical support and guidance to team members, addressing issues related to electrical systems and troubleshooting as necessary. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful completion of electrical installations and maintenance tasks. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees in the data center. Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other infrastructure components. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance records. Train and mentor junior electricians in best practices related to UPS systems and electrical safety standards. Stay informed about the latest advancements in electrical technology and data center operations to enhance efficiency and reliability. Preferred Candidate

Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar role, with a focus on UPS systems and data center environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including UPS technology, power distribution, and safety regulations relevant to data centers. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively guiding and developing a skilled workforce. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
