Role Purpose : The Business Process Excellence Lead is responsible for driving organization-wide process optimization, operational excellence, and workflow standardization. This role leads the analysis, redesign, and continuous improvement of core business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, eliminate waste, and ensure consistent service quality across all departments and subsidiaries. The role acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, enabling a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring alignment between processes, systems, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Reengineering & Optimization
- Lead end-to-end review, mapping, and redesign of business processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and industry best practices.
- Identify process bottlenecks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities across the organization.
- Develop future-state workflows, SOPs, and clear process documentation.
- Improve cross-functional workflows (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Retail, Operations, etc.).
2. Business Process Excellence Framework
Develop and implement the organization’s Process Excellence framework, standards, and governance model.Ensure processes are aligned with strategic priorities, SLAs, and customer experience expectations.Create RACI matrices, process KPIs, dashboards, and audit cycles for continuous monitoring.Drive continuous improvement programs and initiatives across business units.Promote Lean culture and build capabilities among teams through coaching and training.Lead Kaizen events and improvement workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.Support change management efforts when implementing new processes or technologies.Collaborate with IT and digital teams to ensure processes are enabled by optimal systems.Lead automation opportunities (RPA, workflow tools, ERP optimization).Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance process efficiency and data visibility.5. Performance Analysis & Reporting
Establish and track process KPIs, efficiency metrics, and improvement targets.Conduct root cause analysis for recurring operational issues.Present insights, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.5–8 years of experience in business process improvement or operational excellence.Strong background in process mapping, workflow reengineering, and cross-functional project management.PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (Black Belt is a plus).Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Seniority Level
