Overview
The role of a People & Communications (P&C) Business Partner is to manage the people and communications for their assigned area of responsibility. They work towards achieving KONE's business objectives and ensure that the people and communications agenda aligns with the company's current and future business needs. This role will be based in the KONE Riyadh office, and the P&C Business Partner will report to the People & Communications Director for the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa region.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering – Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and direction. Translate business understanding into people and communications priorities. Advise and coach the business in decision-making and contribute broadly to leadership team agenda and discussions.
- Strategy Deployment – Define, drive, and own the P&C agenda so that it is aligned with KONE’s strategic direction and helps develop KONE as a great place to work.
- People Operations – Collaborate with the People Operations team to ensure local requirements are covered by the services delivered by the People Operations team.
- Engagement – Own the Unit engagement agenda and drive local priorities. Partner with the CoE, manage the engagement survey, and drive action planning. Support managers in actions that increase employee engagement.
- Culture, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity – Lead local culture development in line with strategies. Own and execute diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives with the business.
- Internal and External Communications – Ensure internal and external communications are represented in the P&C agenda. Collaborate with the Communications CoE to strengthen the company’s reputation and brand and build a consistent KONE story.
- Workforce Planning – Analyze and forecast the workforce needed to achieve business plans. Develop approaches to meet needs, lead planning sessions, identify critical workforce segments, and outline risks and contingency plans.
- Organization Development and Capability Building – Identify opportunities to support strategic direction through organization design. Advise on organizational changes and restructurings as needed.
- Employee Relations – Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Leadership Development – Identify leadership development needs, create and implement leadership training programs, and coach managers to enhance leadership skills.
- Talent Management – Identify and address talent gaps, succession planning, develop career paths, and implement performance management processes.
- Employment Lifecycle Consultation – Guide and support the business on employment and labor law compliance; consult with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Health and Wellbeing – Partner with HR CoE to advise the business on health & wellbeing strategy and topics; understand unit conditions and develop improvement approaches.
- Union and Labor Relations – Work with the business and a labor relations expert on union topics, negotiations, and grievances; ensure compliance and mitigate conflicts of interest through awareness.
- Annual People and Communications Processes – Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth delivery of annual processes, focusing on outcomes and impacts.
Qualifications
M.Sc. or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience6 - 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a multinational companyExcellent influencing and communication skills with experience coaching and developing talent and teamsExperience with senior-level stakeholder managementExperience handling the full HR lifecycle processes including talent and performance reviews, rewards management, employee engagement, and relationsFluency in English and Arabic is a mustOpen to frequent travel within KSAJob Details
