At SLS Red Sea, every guest experience depends on comfort, precision, and flawless design. Behind the scenes, our Engineering team ensures that the systems powering our spaces run smoothly 24 / 7. We’re seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to keep our heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems performing at their best.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment that keeps our guests cool, our kitchens running, and our spaces vibrant. From daily inspections to emergency repairs, your expertise will ensure energy efficiency, safety, and seamless comfort across the hotel.
Main Responsibilities
- Performing routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance to keep HVAC and refrigeration systems operating at peak performance.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across chillers, VRF / VRV systems, split units, ducted systems, walk-in coolers, freezers, and exhaust fans.
- Cleaning, calibrating, and replacing air filters, checking ducts, monitoring refrigerant levels, and ensuring proper system balance.
- Responding quickly to urgent service requests, restoring temperature control and air quality in guest rooms, restaurants, and public areas.
- Adjusting system controls and settings to optimize both guest comfort and energy efficiency, in line with sustainability goals.
- Supporting kitchen and F&B operations by ensuring refrigeration and cooling units run reliably at all times.
- Coordinating with external vendors for specialized services, overseeing their work to ensure safety and brand standards are met.
- Assisting in equipment upgrades, energy-saving projects, and sustainability initiatives that reduce long-term operating costs.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and spare parts usage to support asset management.
- Supporting other technicians and cross-trade colleagues in larger engineering projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
- Adhering to strict health and safety protocols when handling refrigerants, working at heights, or accessing confined spaces.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, ideally in a luxury hotel, resort, or facility management environment.Technical certification or formal training in HVAC systems required; EPA or equivalent certification for refrigerant handling preferred.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, their components, and associated mechanical / electrical interactions.Hands-on experience with chillers, cooling towers, air balancing, duct systems, and BMS (Building Management Systems) operations.Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.Professional demeanor with strong communication abilities in English.#J-18808-Ljbffr
