The Interface Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all project interface activities between internal departments, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and execution of project deliverables. This role ensures that design, construction, and operational interfaces are clearly defined, monitored, and resolved efficiently to avoid delays or conflicts. The Interface Manager plays a critical role in maintaining alignment between different project disciplines, ensuring communication flow, and achieving project milestones in compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement interface management plans, procedures, and coordination protocols.
- Identify, document, and monitor all interface points between disciplines, contractors, and external entities.
- Facilitate coordination meetings to address and resolve interface issues across design, construction, and commissioning stages.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, QA / QC, and construction teams to ensure smooth information flow.
- Manage communication and coordination between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Track interface-related actions, decisions, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project schedules.
- Support technical and contractual reviews related to interface activities.
- Prepare interface reports, logs, and updates for management and stakeholders.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential conflicts or overlaps between project packages.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all interface correspondence and approvals.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).Minimum 8–12 years of experience in interface or coordination roles within large construction or infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project coordination and construction workflows.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and document control systems.Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain project alignment under pressure.Based at the project site or head office, with frequent coordination among project teams and stakeholders.Requires close collaboration with contractors, consultants, clients, and government authorities.Fast-paced and complex environment involving multiple disciplines and project interfaces.#J-18808-Ljbffr
