Hair Stylist

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and perform consultations in line with salon guidelines to establish client requirements.
• Understand pricing details of all hair services and educate clients during consultations; recommend appropriate services and products.
• Execute cutting, colouring, styling, and finishing to high standards and inform clients about products used.
• Recommend suitable homecare products during each service session.
• Maintain detailed client service history by recording products used and treatment details during visits.
• Learn and perfect new styles and techniques; maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, internet, and social media research.
• Promote the brand externally by attending events outside of the brand.
• Achieve service and product revenue targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Build and maintain a regular client base.
• Assist in maintaining adequate inventory and participate in product ordering by checking stock and anticipating needs of the hair section.
• Care for tools and equipment; adhere to sterilization and sanitation standards as directed by the salon and municipality.
• Keep work areas clean; handle equipment and products with care; guide clients to their next area as needed.
• Follow the Salon’s Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Forms Manuals.
