Responsible for all Hotel Accounting and Financial Controls as outlined in Fraser Suites Riyadh’s accounting standards manual. Administer and manage the general accounting activities and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. Responsibilities
Accounting
Verify daily banking from duplicate of bank receipt to the General Cashier reports. Check the daily cash flow to ensure efficient use of capital to meet business requirements; review General Cashier report. Follow up on delays in realizing deposit and return checks; assist Finance Manager with monthly reconciliation of all hotel bank accounts. Maintain general ledger, from posting to adjusting and printing; ensure adequate accounting records based on the Uniform System of Accounts. Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly. Lead the accounting team in the absence of the Finance Manager. Maintain daily documentation for audit purposes. Assist in preparation of the financial budget for Fraser Suites Riyadh. Assist in managing the fixed asset register and implementing measures to control the movement and / or disposal of assets. Purchasing
Control custody usage, routing and authorization of purchase orders including numerical control. Prepare price comparisons and select surveyors, including ongoing programs of comparative shopping in terms of location, price, quality and consistency of supplies, including delivery time. Search for alternative suppliers and perform market surveys to stay aware of market conditions. Delegate assignments to and supervise subordinates. Follow up with suppliers on delivery time; manage complaints / comments from the department as user. Human Capital
Assist the finance team to achieve individual and department goals and targets. Cooperate with and assist external auditors as required. Conduct ongoing performance appraisal reviews in line with company guidelines for all direct reports. Assist in completion of timesheets and requests for personal leave for all direct reports; managed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications
Formal qualifications at tertiary level to degree standard in accountancy and completion of CPA. Prior experience (minimum 5 years) within a hotel finance department at senior management level. Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and laws. Competency in ACCPAC SAP HIS Epitome, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Vingcard and related hospitality proprietary software packages. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Ability to multitask and work under time constraints with minimal supervision. Ethical, honest and possessing integrity. Ability to work to deadlines. Ability to identify and implement new business practices and processes. Strong organisational and work‑coordinating skills to handle multiple assignments and projects.
