Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of electrical systems across construction projects and maintain high standards of electrical integrity and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations, materials, and equipment to ensure adherence to contract specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Review and assess contractor shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications and design intent.
- Perform tests on electrical systems, including grounding, insulation resistance, and continuity tests.
- Monitor installation of wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, and power systems for proper execution.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with other inspectors and disciplines to resolve electrical system integration issues.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and records of test results.
- Identify and report hazards, design deviations, or work delays to the project management team.
- Verify contractor work progress and milestone completion according to the approved schedule.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and notify relevant parties of any life-threatening safety conditions.
- Stay updated on local and international electrical codes and standards, applying knowledge to inspection processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareExperience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittalsOSHA 10-hour training certificationStrong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standardsExcellent communication and reporting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with construction project management processesKnowledge of local and international electrical codes and standardsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work in various construction environmentsPreferred Qualifications
15 years of experience in construction inspection, particularly in electrical systemsExperience working in and around historic propertiesFamiliarity with GSA managed construction projects and GSA Project Management SystemsAdditional certifications related to electrical inspection or safetyAdditional Information
