Senior Operations Manager, Hub Delivery Expansion & Capacity Management Lead
Amazon seeks a Senior Operations Manager to join our Japan Amazon Logistics team. The goal of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is to build a world class last mile operation delivering to customers. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and in the most cost effective way as possible and we are expanding rapidly in Japan.
Key Job Responsibilities
- The Hub Delivery Expansion & Capacity Management Lead is accountable for driving partner acquisition strategy, Sales team expansion, and network capacity optimization to meet growing operational demands.
- Lead the end-to-end aspects of partner onboarding, tracking and reviewing, utilizing technologies like Hugo and CTO for optimal location and partner selection.
- Collaborate closely with the Hub Delivery Program team to execute partner acquisition strategies while ensuring alignment with marketing initiatives and Sales member hiring timelines.
- Scale the Sales team, including hiring team members and developing structured training modules to enhance performance of both Sales & other function teams.
- Perform stakeholder management by liaising with program, planning teams and vendors to address partner onboarding concerns and establish necessary cadences for expedited onboarding and launches.
- Plan capacity for high volume events, building driver capacity for AMZL, developing bonus structures, partner communication templates, and leading all peak planning initiatives.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills in managing large teams, positively influencing the team and delivering results against business odds while maintaining service quality and compliance standards.
