2. JOB PURPOSE :
Study, review and develop conceptual plans and scope of works for providing power generation to meet customer demands based on optimal factors of power system capacity and utilization factors. 3. JOB DIMENSIONS :

None 4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Studies and Reviews :
Conduct studies and review proposals relating to upgradation of Power Generation facilities and building new installations. Coordinate with external consultants engaged for system studies and analysis. Master Plan for Power Generation :
Coordinate with Demand Forecast Department to develop an annual plan for inclusion in the Master Plan (5 & 15 years) and update it regularly. Data Base Management & Asset Utilization :
Develop and maintain a database of existing power generation facilities and analyze system loading to determine peak and low values. Utility Request Management :
Coordinate with Demand forecast department to plan for meeting the demand of major customers and submit designs for approval. Business Unit Capex Proposal Evaluation :
Conduct a techno-commercial evaluation of business unit Capex proposals and advise Management. MIS Reporting :
Develop and keep updated Management Information System giving key Technical Data helpful for Business decisions. Policies & Procedures :
Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures. 5. JOB CONTEXT :
The position reports to Superintendent, Power Planning and is responsible for studying, reviewing, and developing conceptual plans for providing electric power to customers. 6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :
Internal :
Coordination within own department and other departments. External :
Coordination with RC and equipment manufacturers. 7. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY :
No financial authority for the position. Work according to established procedures and make decisions relating to service provision. 8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS :
Minimum Qualifications :
University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum Experience :
7 years in engineering or facilities management in a heavy industrial or utilities environment. Job-Specific Skills :
Skilled in engineering planning software. Detailed knowledge of facilities management techniques. Sound understanding of power generation operational processes. Ability to develop a capital plan based on current assets. Generic Skills :
