Role Purpose
To perform activities related to the subcontracting process including identifying and selecting subcontractors, negotiating contracts, mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to legal and industry standards to optimize project delivery aligned with project objectives / requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- OperationalDirection
- Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to identify suitable subcontractors meeting projectneeds.
- Review assigned Subcontractor requests to assess the technical specifications and requirements of the subcontract work to ensure that it aligns with their expertise and capabilities.
- Coordinate all legal-related issues with Subcontract Coordinator to ensure that legal expertise is applied to contract related matters.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontractor contracts at pre-award phase, including terms and conditions, deliverables, andschedules.
- Prepare RFQ’s with all related supporting documents gathered from other departments as needed (Operations, Engineering…) in order to understand the project’s technical requirements and expectations.
- Issue RFQ’s and receive Quotations and keep all Supporting documents, emails and communications for record- keeping, accountability, and future reference.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to integrate subcontractor activities into the overall project plan ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Prepare the general technical and commercial bid comparison sheet and bidevaluation.
- Perform the negotiation with the shortlisted Subcontractors which can include discussing pricing, cost breakdowns, and potential cost-saving measures to ensure the project fits within budget constraints.
- Maintain all communications with all subcontractors properly chronologically ensuring that all relevant documents are properly organized and stored for future reference.
- Review and assess the technical prequalification of the successful bidder to be submitted for the client’s approval to confirm that the subcontractor is qualified for the specific work required.
- Validate technically the change orders requests sent by the site construction team, by verifying the new scope requirement and / or the changes of quantities to determine if they can be implemented without compromising the project’s integrity and safety.

- Enforce safety regulations and guidelines for subcontractors, ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow all relevant Subcontract processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Always demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies andguidelines.
Reporting
Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet office support requirements, policies, and qualitystandards.
Technical Essential
Education / CertificationEducation / Certification
Bachelor’s in ElectricalEngineering, or any other relatedfield.
Experience
5-10 years’ related experience in roles within similarpositions.
