Job Purpose
To lead the development and execution of strategic and operational security plans that safeguard personnel, assets, and facilities. The Security Manager is responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, managing the performance of the security team, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and coordinating emergency responses in alignment with company policies and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and policies.
- Assess potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assign responsibilities to security team members.
- Monitor and supervise the performance of security personnel.
- Oversee the security of facilities and projects, ensuring constant monitoring of sites.
- Ensure all incidents and violations are reported and documented accurately.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Respond to security incidents, coordinating with relevant authorities as necessary.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed during emergencies, such as evacuations and fire response.
- Liaise between department / project management and security personnel.
- Coordinate with civil defense and other external agencies during emergencies.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of communication tools and surveillance systems.
- Oversee the installation and functionality of security equipment such as cameras, lighting, and electric gates.
