Field Engineer Close-in Weapons System (CIWS)

ESTUDIO DE INGENIERIA Y CONTROL DE OBRAS SL . BecTech is seeking two qualified field engineers with Block 1B2 CIWS experience to groom gun mounts for the Royal Saudi Navy. Responsibilities include assisting the Ship Repair Force (SRF) in grooming and maintaining the CIWS, following the Planned Maintenance System Maintenance Index Page (MIP) 7112 / 1B2 and technical manuals (TW-221-B2-MMO-010, IETM). Specific duties involve : Removing, cleaning, inspecting, and re-installing Ammunition Handling System components. Disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, reassembling, and reinstalling the gun. Troubleshooting and repairing CASREPTS as needed. Testing the CIWS system through all modes to achieve a "GO" status. Performing system technical assessments and system operability tests. Testing transmitter output, tuning the Klystron, and inspecting various components such as shock isolators, door gaskets, seals, weatherproofing, and the Environmental Control Group. Testing safety devices and troubleshooting as necessary. This role requires travel to Saudi Arabia at least twice a year for 24 days, with travel, lodging, and per diem provided. Candidates must be technically qualified in OEM procedures, with prior FMS and OEM experience preferred. A minimum of 12+ years of experience, US citizenship, and an active Secret Clearance are required. Desired skills include OEM technical certification and prior FMS support experience. The position is contract-based, with a salary range of $55 - $75 per hour, and is classified as Mid-Senior level in engineering and IT within the mining industry. All applicants will undergo a background investigation. The role involves a commitment to travel to Saudi Arabia multiple times per year, with potential increases over three years.
