Overview
Systems Engineer, Production Assets Maintenance at International Maritime Industries. Responsible for maintaining, optimizing and developing the control systems for shipyard production assets (including CNC cutting & welding machines, 3R pipe shop semi-automated line, pretreatment semi-automated line and all PLC systems). Ensure seamless integration, automation, reliability and maintainability of Production Assets operations, working with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and safety.

Key Accountabilities
- Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards
- Prepare and negotiate large budgets and monitor spending, controlling and tracking all aspects of equipment cost
- Provide cost-effective techniques and solutions to attain safe equipment operations, reliability, and availability
- Understand and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System
- Involve in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures
- Coordinate with other departments and managers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs
- Develop and implement standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity
- Prepare and approve preventative maintenance and other plans, allocate work to teams, oversee progress, solve problems, and take corrective action when required
- Lead and participate in meetings and briefings, both formal and informal
- Oversee the development of Maintenance teams, providing support, encouragement, advice, and guidance
- Review assets operating monthly reports and financial statements, analyze performance against budget, research variances, and implement operational changes to meet performance objectives
- Monitor business-related KPIs and take timely action to meet targets
- Explore and implement innovative technologies or methods to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce environmental impact
- Promote a positive attitude, pride, and work culture to attain Asset Management objectives
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related fieldProfessional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)
Experience with Siemens, FANUC and OMRON control systems and industrial automationIFS practical experience is a plusExcellent computer skillsCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, configuration and implementation of new PLC logicsProficiency in programming languages such as Siemens PLCExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholdersKnowledge of maritime safety regulations and compliance standardsRequirements
Experience
Minimum of 3-6 years of practical experiencePrior experience in shipyard automation Asset and PLC control systemsExperience with Siemens, FANUC and OMRON control systemsLanguages
Excellent English communication skillsArabic is beneficialAdditional / Other Requirement
