The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing email campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical skill, and data analysis to develop campaigns that deliver measurable results.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in email marketing platforms, segmentation strategies, and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Development & Execution
- Plan, build, and launch email marketing campaigns for promotions, product launches, newsletters, and drip sequences.
- Develop compelling copy and creative assets that resonate with target audiences.
- Segment email lists based on behavior, demographics, and engagement to improve personalization and relevance.
- Implement automation workflows to nurture leads and retain customers.
- Optimization & Testing
- Conduct A / B and multivariate testing on subject lines, content, send times, and call-to-action buttons.
- Analyze engagement metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates.
- Continuously refine campaigns to maximize deliverability, engagement, and ROI.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on key email performance metrics and KPIs.
- Use insights from email analytics to optimize ongoing and future campaigns.
- Collaborate with data and marketing teams to ensure email campaigns align with overall marketing strategy.
- Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure all email campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
- Maintain list hygiene and manage subscriber preferences.
- Stay up-to-date on email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with content, design, and product teams to create cohesive campaigns.
- Coordinate with sales or customer success teams to align email efforts with broader business objectives.
- Support cross-channel marketing initiatives by integrating email campaigns with social, PPC, and other digital efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in email marketing or digital marketing.Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or ActiveCampaign.Strong understanding of segmentation, automation, and personalization strategies.Experience with A / B testing and analyzing campaign performance metrics.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.Preferred Skills
Knowledge of HTML / CSS for email template design.Experience in e-commerce or SaaS email marketing.Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).Certification in email marketing or digital marketing (e.g., HubSpot Email Marketing Certification).Experience with lifecycle marketing and customer journey mapping.What We Offer
