Qualifications
- EDUCATION : Degree or equivalent work experience.
- EXPERIENCE : Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL Server tools; knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards; understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling; scripting skills; strong mathematical and statistical knowledge; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server including Always-ON Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication; creating / documenting Windows PowerShell scripts.
- Experience in one of the following areas (choose one) :
Familiarity with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); or
Oracle on Unix (AIX) and Linux (RHEL) including UNIX shell scripting, experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard; orAmazon Aurora PostgreSQL implementations including disaster recovery (Full / PITR).Functional skills in database administration, data modeling, performance tuning, migration planning, security and backup / recovery, and monitoring across Oracle, SQL Server and / or PostgreSQL.Foundational skills in communication, critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability, and collaboration.Key Skills

High level responsibilities : contribute to developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of a database; perform data maintenance activities by analyzing data requirements; develop logical and physical database models; use advanced tools and technologies; perform backups and recoveries; configure database parameters; design prototypes against logical data models; translate business user information requirements into system requirements; create and maintain user profiles for database access; monitor and resolve database performance, capacity, data integrity and replication issues.Participate in data-system performance monitoring, tuning and the development and implementation of improvements; plan and conduct database unit and system tests; monitor and optimize database performance and replication servers; implement data migration plans; solve complex technical problems related to Oracle, SQL Server and / or PostgreSQL on premise (AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and on AWS (RDS, EC2).Maintain and organize application databases and data dictionaries; support standards and guidelines for using, creating and maintaining corporate databases; coordinate data stewardship and data accountability structures; monitor AWS databases and address platform-specific issues; collaborate with application and operations teams through the project lifecycle from design to go-live.Additional Information
