Senior Electrical Engineer

Atkins has been commissioned to embed a Construction Project Management team into a key client's office based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team has been in place since June 2012. The client operates within the Defence Sector and is implementing a SAR 2bn civil / infrastructure program over the next 3 to 4 years. The Atkins team is responsible for managing the client's construction program, including the appointment of designers and contractors, reviewing, reporting, and auditing consultants / contractors submissions. This role reports to the Design Manager. Technical Requirements - Essential

Degree qualified in core design discipline (Electrical) Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) Candidate must be Western educated Minimum of 5 years of postgraduate professional experience, with at least 2 years in a similar senior position At least 2 years experience on multi-disciplinary design projects Detailed knowledge of applicable international design standards Experience with technical design software Sound technical skill set Commercial awareness regarding design advice Working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices Administrative skills Behavioral Competencies

Ability to work well with a team Ability to distribute work effectively Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English Desirable

Experience of Saudi Arabia building design standards Western candidate preferred Work experience either within the Middle East or on Middle East projects Experience of due diligence for building projects Experience of undertaking technical reviews Principal Accountabilities
