Job Purpose
The MEP QC Inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality control and assurance processes for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on a construction project. They ensure that all MEP installations, materials, and workmanship meet the project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and the client\'s quality requirements.
Key Accountability Areas
Review construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand the MEP design and quality requirements.Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control plan for the MEP systems.Conduct regular inspections of MEP installations at various stages of construction to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and standards, including :MEP excavation inspectionMEP under blinding "main lines"MEP inside the raftMEP embedded in precast panelsMonitor the backfilling around MEP under the blinding.Monitor the MEP during concrete pouring / casting.Document all quality control activities, including inspections, test results, and any identified deficiencies or nonconformances.Follow up on MEP Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper resolution.Attend all the MEP-related tests and witness the testing process.Collaborate with the project team, including the general contractor, subcontractors, and design professionals, to address and resolve quality issues.Maintain detailed records and provide regular quality control reports to the project management team.Assist in the development of corrective and preventive actions to address recurring quality problems.Ensure that all MEP work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.Role Accountability
