Job Purpose
To manage and monitor the inventory and stock holdings ensuring system stock issues are minimized. Monitor and control movement of stock, formulate policies and control procedures to maintain minimum discrepancies, and ensure all returns to suppliers are managed and monitored.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Roles and Responsibilities
- Custodian of Business inventory and responsible for overall inventory management operations.
- Responsible for warehouse storage space optimization, ABC analysis, heat map analysis and implementation.
- Implement stock loss action plans (formulated as a result of cycle counts / stock counts) in conjunction with Loss Prevention Team.
- Review and monitor extent of damages in the WH and develop action plans to mitigate occurrences in conjunction with warehouse inbound and outbound operations.
- Execute WH shrinkage analysis and reductions.
- Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions.
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct investigations of inventory discrepancies identified during cycle count or picking and take action to rectify within timelines.Oversee the entire process of stock transfers inter-warehouse, warehouse to store and store to warehouse, ensuring movements are recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.Provide regular updates on pending transfers, WH cycle counts & transparency of trouble‑coded inventory.Coordinate directly with suppliers and buying for returning intended stocks.Track all WH logs, credit notes, RTV adjustments and submit to FSS.Pass the CN, RTV, Write‑off and general adjustments through system and report to finance.Monitor transactions daily, investigate discrepancies, confirm On‑base logs are raised, and review logs status to ensure accurate resolution.Manage perpetual stock take calendar with designated managers and stock‑take team; communicate plan and ensure compliance.Liaise with business inventory managers for monthly shrinkage data and prepare / share the final report.Manage expiry product identification and share visibility reports with stakeholders.Manage disposal or RTV of expired and obsolete goods at respective warehouses to maintain high quality standards.Oversee physical stock count process, review results with management, reconcile figures via auditing physical stock movements.Prepare reports based on findings and provide recommendations to management.People Management Roles and Responsibilities
Coach and motivate reportees to enhance performance and meet quality standards, providing continuous development and feedback.Review operational processes from a risk‑management perspective; identify and qualify new risks, escalating concerns to the site HSE committee.Guide and motivate subordinates to improve performance and produce quality work, supporting their development for higher roles.Maintain HSE practices, minimize property damage and injury risk; proactively remind colleagues to comply with HSE processes.Communicate regularly with the team on operational performance and upcoming events.Create a positive work environment that reduces attrition, sickness, and absence to achieve collective and individual targets.#J-18808-Ljbffr
