Job Title : Safety Officer

Department : HSE

Role Purpose :

To support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a safe working environment. The role focuses on conducting inspections, supporting risk assessments, and assisting in the promotion of HSE awareness across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Identify unsafe practices and recommend corrective measures.
• Support supervisors in conducting risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Participate in incident investigations and assist in preparing root cause analyses.
• Help implement corrective / preventive measures to address identified risks.
• Monitor daily compliance with HSE regulations and company standards.
• Report non-compliance issues to supervisors and recommend action plans.
• Assist in conducting emergency drills and maintaining readiness for potential incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing reports for supervisors and management.
• Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Support supervisors in conducting HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Participate in awareness campaigns and promote a culture of safety.
• Provide basic guidance to employees on safety practices and regulations.
