Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Senior Planning & Programs Analyst
to lead financial planning, performance analysis, compliance, and budgeting activities. This role supports leadership through high-quality reporting, strategic insights, and effective financial governance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), audit oversight, and financial operations, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and complex organizational environment. Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement multi-year financial plans in alignment with organizational objectives. Deliver forecasting models, scenario analyses, and financial insights for executive leadership.
Budgeting & Financial Reporting
Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets across departments. Produce accurate, timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for leadership and governance bodies.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with international and local accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Oversee internal controls, audit coordination, and risk management processes.
Resource & Fund Management
Manage restricted and unrestricted funds, donor contributions, and grant allocations. Monitor cash flow, funding utilization, and long-term reserve planning.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide leadership to finance team members and cross-functional planning initiatives. Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on financial decision-making.
Operational Excellence
Drive implementation of financial systems and process improvements. Oversee procurement, contract management, and financial risk mitigation practices.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required). Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
Certifications (Required – at least one) :
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) CMA (Certified Management Accountant) CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Or recognized regional equivalent
Experience : Minimum of
10 years
of progressive experience in financial management, including : Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) Budget oversight and control Preparation of financial statements and reports Audit coordination and compliance management
