Overview
To lead, design, supervise, and manage all electrical works in engineering projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. The role also involves supporting design and construction teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems within multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical designs and ensure compliance with relevant codes and technical standards.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications for medium and low-voltage systems.
- Supervise on-site electrical works and ensure quality of execution according to plans.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, etc.) to ensure system compatibility.
- Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Conduct load calculations and electrical distribution planning.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance regarding electrical works.
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety procedures on all project sites.
- Provide technical support and resolve complex engineering issues.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for project stakeholders or clients.
- Stay updated with the latest codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (Master’s degree is a plus).Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical design, supervision, or execution within a professional engineering environment.Holder of an engineering membership – Category : Professional EngineerStrong knowledge of international standards and codes such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA .Proficient in electrical design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD, Dialux, Revit MEP .Excellent command of English (spoken and written).Ability to prepare detailed technical reports.Seniority level
