Classes are for home cooks and enthusiastic amateurs. Your role is to help guests enjoy their experience with an approachable and entertaining style so that they can have fun cooking and get the most out of their time with us. Running daily classes in our five teaching kitchens you will be covering everything from knife skills and pasta to Ultimate Curries masterclasses and Lazy Brunch classes at the weekend. Classes range from short 90 minute evening classes to full 5-hour day classes and CTH certified diploma programs. The Academy is open six days a week, with core working hours for this role being on a rotational basis between 8 : 30 – 19 : 30 Saturday to Thursday. What you do as a Chef Teacher

You’ll guide guests on an unforgettable culinary journey, whilst teaching them essential skills and techniques Deliver exceptional cookery classes across a wide range of subjects Have an in-depth knowledge of all recipes, techniques, cuisines and topics taught in the classes Be creative and adaptable when it comes to teaching, responding to guest questions in a positive way and being flexible within classes to cater to all skill levels, personalities and requirements Be responsible for managing the hygiene of the kitchen and ensure all food safety standards are adhered to and always demonstrated to the highest standards Support the Head Chef in the daily running of The Academy and development of classes and events as required Assist in training, supervising and supporting junior team members What we require from you

Minimum Chef de Partie level in a fresh food environment and high level of cooking skills Experience of teaching or tutoring would be ideal although training will be provided An awareness of budget management Able to work part time which includes one day at the weekend and at least one evening in the week About you

Desire to provide exceptional standards in customer service Able to put guests at ease, whatever their backgrounds or experience To have an active and engaging teaching style Confident manner and able to lead exciting and informative classes, team-building sessions and a variety of events Able to adapt teaching and presenting methods to suit different audiences and guest requirements Good interpersonal skills when working and willing to work as part of a team Act as a key representative of the Gordon Ramsay brand What’s in it for you
