Job Summary
The Legal Director is responsible for protecting the company’s legal interests, managing legal case strategies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements. This role also leads the company’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework, aligning internal policies and procedures with regulatory standards and strategic business objectives. The Legal Director oversees litigation, contract management, governance, and compliance activities, providing strategic legal guidance to support the company’s growth and minimize risk.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the legal department’s operational plans and strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage the company’s GRC framework and ensure policies comply with local and international regulations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key regulatory authorities and government entities.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive litigation strategies to protect the company’s legal and financial interests.
- Represent the company in major legal cases and communicate with judicial and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee contract drafting, negotiation, governance, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Implement digital systems for legal operations, case tracking, document management, and analytics.
- Monitor compliance reports and risk exposure, recommending actions to minimize legal risks.
- Supervise legal and collection performance indicators to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external law firms and evaluate legal service performance.
- Ensure proper handling of customer complaints and interactions with the SIMAH credit bureau.
- Mentor, coach, and lead the legal team to ensure high performance and alignment with company policies.
- Provide strategic legal advice to leadership, supporting decision-making and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.Bachelor’s degree in Law and membership in the Saudi Bar (required); Master’s degree preferred.Strong knowledge of corporate law, litigation, contract management, and regulatory compliance.Experience managing complex legal disputes and collaborating with external counsel.Proven ability to align legal initiatives with business objectives and drive strategic outcomes.Leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.Fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.#J-18808-Ljbffr
