Job Description & Summary
Join our Middle East Deals Risk & Quality (R&Q) team and play a key role in enabling the success of our Deals practice. As our business grows, so does the complexity of our engagements, making your role as an experienced Senior Associate vital to managing risk and ensuring quality. Your work will involve partnering closely with our Deals teams, guiding them through the engagement lifecycle, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. We support Deals project teams throughout the entire engagement lifecycle from bidding through contracting and on into delivery, taking a partnership approach to work alongside and collaborate with partners and teams.
Role Responsibilities
- Support senior leadership in assessing risks associated with client engagements, including reputational, contractual, and legal risks
- Assist in the review of engagement panels, helping to identify potential exposures PwC could face
- Provide input on contract clauses, evaluating them from a risk perspective and ensuring clarity on liability caps, profitability calculations, and risk mitigation measures
- Collaborate with engagement teams to understand the nature of services provided and ensure risk is managed throughout the delivery process
- Help monitor and manage risks in Deals, including reputational and service permissibility risks, working under the guidance of senior risk managers
- Contribute to ensuring engagements align with PwC’s risk policies and procedures, identifying areas of concern and proposing mitigating actions
- Stay informed about emerging risks and technologies that could impact engagements, particularly in the context of PwC’s transformation initiatives
- Prepare reports and analysis to support risk assessments and decision-making by senior leadership
- Participating in delivering training to staff across Deals
Requirements
Experience in a risk management or client advisory role, preferably within a Big 4 or similar professional services environmentPreferred experience from a Consulting or Deals M&A backgroundSolid understanding of contract management, including liability, profitability, and legal exposure in client engagementsKnowledge of risk management principles, with an ability to identify and manage risks across a range of engagementsStrong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise insights to senior stakeholdersAbility to collaborate effectively with teams to ensure risks are appropriately addressed in engagement planning and deliveryProfessional certifications in risk management or legal advisory services are an advantageFamiliarity with PwC’s service offerings, market positioning, and client engagement practicesMotivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environmentProficient in English, Arabic speaking considered a plusEducation
