Overview
As a mechanical supervisor at Vanderlande, your role centers on smoothly installing mechanical equipment for material handling projects. You will lead, guide, and inspire your team, fostering a culture of safety and quality throughout the project. Your direct approach ensures progress, continuous improvement, and successful site handovers, making a tangible impact on our projects and team.
Responsibilities
- Supervision : Organize and supervise the installation of mechanical and electromechanical equipment for Vanderlande material handling projects in line with the project schedule.
- Guidance : Provide clear instructions to the onsite installation team, ensuring that all installation work complies with quality standards and Vanderlande processes.
- Safety : Foster a culture of safety among installations team throughout the project execution.
- Surveying : Conduct surveys for installation areas, check readiness and facilities required for installation, and support for the site handover.
- Quality Control : Maintain a strong onsite presence through regular site walks and a thorough auditing schedule, focusing on safety and quality in line with Vanderlande standards.
- Monitoring & Reporting : Contribute to creating and adhering to the project installation schedule to meet project timelines. Monitor the team's progress and report on work progress to the Site Manager, coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Training : Take responsibility for training new technicians to enhance their skills, fostering ongoing team improvement and promoting the core value of "Everyday Better" through lessons learned.Support : Organize and facilitate all support activities to ensure a smooth commissioning and testing process until handover to the customer.Responsible for activities

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in executing material handling projects and leading site installation teams for MHS.In-depth knowledge of conveyor systems, their components, and mechanical equipment commonly used in material handling.Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and interpret project and planning schedules.Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience during installation.Experience in maintaining quality control during installation to ensure systems operate reliably.Ability to conduct precise surveys of installation areas and ensure accurate alignment and installation based on survey data.Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Navis; familiarity with these tools is advantageous.Desired Soft Skills
