The Global Supplier Quality team ensures seamless industrialization, launch, and long-term excellence of innovative products. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for Chassis & Fasteners, you’ll act as the subject matter expert—from early design and supplier development to launch, mass production, and continuous improvement. This role requires close collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and supplier networks to deliver complex designs with uncompromising quality. You’ll drive scalable manufacturing solutions, robust control strategies, and proactive quality systems that support flawless execution and sustained performance. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and globally mobile—ready to operate across NA, Asia, EU, and KSA in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and improve PPAP re-qualification annually and Engineering changes. Drive and track all internal ECRs and CM-PCN activities. Work independently and make decisions in the best interest of Lucid and its business. Develop quality plans, design test methods and gages, identify potential failure modes and process weaknesses, and drive preventative actions. Collaborate with plant-level Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning, and SQEs to contain supplier quality issues and protect Lucid plants. Investigate supplier quality issues to determine root cause, implement corrective actions, and drive long-term preventative actions. Perform supplier audits and site inspections; develop process improvement plans and drive implementation; monitor and maintain KPIs and targets. Support system assembly build, define incoming parts inspection procedures, track build issues, and drive containment and long-term actions with suppliers. Travel up to ~20% as needed to Lucid Motors and supplier sites globally on short notice. Qualifications
5+ years of high-volume manufacturing and assembly plant experience supporting Chassis and Fasteners in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role. Supplier industrialization, SQE, APQP, and PPAP experience. Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and potential failure modes related to materials, processes, and heat treatment. Strong leadership, accountability, data analysis, executive communication, and budget management. Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings; in-depth knowledge of quality standards and specifications in placement. Excellent analytical, technical writing, and knowledge of quality toolbox (IATF 16949, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, GD&T, etc.). Certification preferred (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt). Team player with interpersonal skills, hands-on and data-driven approach, and problem-solving mindset. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, adaptability to dynamic environments. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; working knowledge of Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, and Tableau is a plus. BS in Engineering (MS preferred) or equivalent experience.
