DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join our team. As we continue to grow, we need to ensure the safety, fulfillment, motivation, and empowerment of all our team members. We are seeking a driven EHS Officer to help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in Riyadh. In this role, you will report to the WHS Manager. Responsibilities
Lead site risk assessments for current and new activities. Establish and implement site WHS training matrix, standards, and guidelines. Promote a safety culture among employees through daily WHS content in shift briefings. Conduct safety audits to identify non-compliance issues and work with the Operations team to implement corrective actions. Attend to incidents and occupational injuries on site. Assist area managers with incident investigations, Gensuite reporting, and lessons learned communication. Ensure proper record-keeping and compliance with global WHS standards and local regulations. Manage PPE inventory and coordinate procurement. Monitor and support weekly Key Safety Requirement (KSR) audits. Ensure completion of fire fighting and first aid training. Conduct daily inspections of Powered Industrial Tools and Trailer Docks. Support daily Action Tracking System monitoring. Participate in site safety walks and report unsafe acts / conditions. Provide daily updates to the Country WHS Manager. Prepare WHS committee agendas, MOM, and ATS reports. Review and sign off on daily Permits to Work. Lead WHS-related procurement and follow-up. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills. Manage emergency training and record-keeping. Establish and monitor Heat Index levels. Support site-specific requests and unplanned events. Conduct regular WHS audits (hazard waste, spill kits, first aid rooms, etc.). Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or Science. Minimum of 2 years' experience in OSH. Good communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments. Experience leading and managing teams. Ability to analyze safety data and conduct hazard analyses. Current First Aid and CPR certifications. Experience in Worker’s Compensation case management.
