The Fleet Performance Engineer will be the main technical contact for Alpitronic and its fleet clients in the Middle East.
The role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability and continuous improvement of our DC fast charging systems, through proactively monitoring fleet data, diagnosing technical issues and providing support to internal engineering teams and external clients. The role also contributes to overseeing the introduction of new products and plays a key part in achieving and supporting local product certifications.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and analyse real-world performance data from deployed systems, particularly during the initial product launch phase, in order to identify trends, anomalies and systemic bugs
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis using tools such as system logs, data mining and remote diagnostics to isolate, replicate and resolve recurring technical issues
- Supervise the rollout of new hardware and software versions, identifying any potential faults or risks in the early stages of introducing the new product
- Act as the technical liaison for fleet customers, providing support on performance, hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Assist in the process of obtaining local product certifications and guide clients in meeting regional compliance standards
- Work together with the software, hardware, and customer service teams to solve problems and ensure customer satisfaction by passing on their feedback to the product teams
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of diagnostics, resolutions, field issues and performance metrics
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechatronics or Software Engineering;Familiarity with EV charging architecture, protocols and communication systems;Previous working experience in field service engineering, system validation or technical support roles, ideally in the EV or telecoms industriesExperience of working with complex systems involving both hardware and softwareProficiency in analysing system and performance data using standard diagnostic toolsExperience with communication and networking protocols (e.g. PLC, TCP / IP, CAN, Modbus)Knowledge of DC fast charging standards (IEC 61851, DIN 70121 and ISO 15118) and OCPP (versions 1.6 and 2.0.1) would be advantageousExperience with fleet operations or connected mobility systems would be beneficialFluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Arabic would be advantageousOUR COMMITMENT
