We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Executive to join our team within the logistics and transportation sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key client relationships, supporting pricing and contract activities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality commercial services in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, clients, and markets for terminal services (e.g., cargo handling, storage, bunkering, vessel services).
- Support or lead commercial tenders, bids, and proposals.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer demand to support pricing and service strategies.
- Prepare business cases for new services or capacity expansions.
Customer Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers (shipping lines, traders, logistics companies, etc.).Conduct regular client visits and calls to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.Manage contracts and service agreements to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to improve service quality.Contracts & Pricing
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).Support tariff development and pricing strategies aligned with company profitability goals and market conditions.Reporting & Performance Analysis
Track and report key commercial performance indicators such as revenue, throughput, and margin.Maintain and update the commercial database, including client portfolios and forecasts.Prepare management reports and presentations on commercial performance and market trends.Coordination with Internal Stakeholders
Liaise with operations, finance, and planning teams to align customer requirements with terminal capabilities.Collaborate with marketing and corporate teams on promotional and branding activities.Compliance & Risk Management
Identify potential commercial risks and support mitigation plans.Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all commercial activities.Strategic Support
Contribute to annual business planning and budgeting processes.Participate in industry events, trade fairs, and networking activities to promote terminal services.Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proven ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.Familiarity with logistics and terminal operations is preferred.Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles within the logistics, port, or transportation industry.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.Proficiency in English and Arabic.Valid driving license.Seniority Level
