Overview
We are seeking a Structural Foreman to lead crew on offshore shipyard and marine projects. The role involves supervising construction, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers to meet schedule and budget targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a crew of 10+ construction workers on offshore shipyard and marine projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards on site.
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule tasks, manage material deliveries, and control labor costs.
- Read and interpret structural blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Supervise installation of structural components such as steel beams, columns, and plating.
- Manage daily construction activities, track progress, and report status to project leadership.
- Implement and enforce all job-site safety procedures, including HSE policies and emergency response plans.
- Inspect and troubleshoot structural work to ensure design-accurate installation and durability.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as work logs, sign‑offs, and quality inspection reports.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment within project specifications.
Qualifications
Diploma in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.5 to 8 years of experience supervising structural work in offshore / shipyard or marine construction environments.Strong knowledge of marine construction regulations and safety standards.Ability to read and interpret complex structural drawings and specifications.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proficiency in project management and construction planning tools.Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances on site.English language proficiency, both written and spoken.Benefits
