QA / QC Coating Inspector (Aramco)

8 - 12 years SAR 8,000 - 8,000 / month Job Description We are looking for a certified QA / QC Coating Inspector (Aramco approved) to join our team. The role involves inspecting the surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes on industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with Aramco specifications and international standards (NACE, SSPC). The Coating Inspector will conduct inspections, perform tests such as wet and dry film thickness measurements, and ensure coatings are applied to meet quality standards. The inspector will also prepare detailed reports, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions for any non-conformities. Candidates should have a valid NACE Level 2 or equivalent certification and at least 3 years of experience in coating inspections, preferably in oil & gas or similar industries. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Inspect surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes to ensure compliance with Aramco specifications and industry standards (NACE, SSPC, ISO)

Conduct wet and dry film thickness measurements and other tests to verify the quality of coatings applied

Perform adhesion tests, holiday tests, and visual inspections to detect defects or inconsistencies

Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point to ensure proper coating application

Review coating material specifications and ensure that materials are handled and stored correctly

Identify coating defects (e.g., pinholes, blisters, cracks) and report non-conformities to the project team

Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, test results, and corrective actions taken

Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure timely resolution of any coating-related issues

Ensure that safety, health, and environmental regulations are followed during coating activities

Assist in the final inspection and handover of completed coating works
