The scope of work of GIS Supervisor covers all the activities / actions required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired and any faults eliminated. The Supervisor is responsible for installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. He / she represents PG in general through his presence and technical knowledge and PGHV specifically in dealings with the client at the installation site. The deadlines issued for each project are adhered to, whereby the cost-performance ratio must always be borne in mind in this respect. He / she embodies the PG QA philosophy, taking into account the special conditions on the construction sites.
The GIS-Supervisor is responsible for the installation & commissioning work entrusted to him being carried out in perfect technical order. Responsibilities include :
- Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and Instructions & ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed.
- Red-marking drawings / documents with any changes or modification that became necessary during the installation.
- Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the work force necessary to comply with the schedule.
- Cooperation with PG Project Manager on establishing status of completed and non-completed work.
- Inspecting arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordination of material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers Material Control within sub-suppliers' procedures.
- Issuing non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG scope of supply in cooperation with PG Project Manager.
- Supervising final installation & commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
- Supervising and coordinating the loop check activities and Participation at site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements :
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in relevant field is required.Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred.Having capability to use MS project professionally.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
