The SEO / SEM Specialist is responsible for managing all search engine optimization (SEO) and paid search (SEM) activities. This includes developing strategies to increase organic visibility, managing paid campaigns to drive qualified traffic, and ensuring all digital content aligns with search best practices. The ideal candidate is a data‑driven marketer with a passion for analytics, keyword research, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and website traffic.
Conduct keyword research to identify high‑value opportunities and content gaps.
Optimize on‑page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking).
Collaborate with content and web teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across new and existing content.
Perform technical SEO audits and work with developers to resolve issues (site speed, crawl errors, indexing).
SEM Campaign Management
Plan, execute, and manage PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads.
Conduct keyword bidding, ad creation, and budget management to meet performance goals.
Optimize campaigns for maximum ROI, adjusting targeting, bidding, and ad copy based on performance data.
Implement A / B testing for ad creatives, keywords, and landing pages.
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO and SEM performance metrics (traffic, CTR, CPC, conversions, ROI).
Use Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEM platforms to provide actionable insights.
Generate regular reports for stakeholders summarizing progress, wins, and opportunities.
Stay informed on search engine algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration & Content Support
Partner with content creators to develop SEO‑optimized blogs, landing pages, and website copy.
Work closely with design and development teams to improve user experience and conversion rates.
Support integrated digital marketing campaigns with SEO / SEM insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in SEO, SEM, or digital advertising.
Proven experience managing Google Ads and Bing Ads campaigns.
Strong understanding of search algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO tools.
Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation.
Familiarity with e‑commerce SEO and Google Shopping Ads.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for technical SEO improvements.
Certification in Google Ads or Google Analytics.
Experience with marketing automation and reporting tools (e.g., Data Studio, HubSpot).
