Graduate Registered Nurses

Overview

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is seeking Graduate Registered Nurses who are dedicated to delivering professional and high-quality patient care in accordance with HMC policies, guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, safe, holistic, culturally competent, person-centered nursing care to patients, families, community and society, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct care for patients and their families in a variety of settings including hospital, patient homes and community settings in accordance with legislative, regulatory and policy guidelines relevant to registered nursing practice.
• Develop, implement and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care delivered to patients and promote customer satisfaction through effective customer service.
• Accept accountability for own actions and decisions and for the related outcomes.
• Attend to emergency / crisis situations calmly and effectively and exhibit leadership qualities, managing nursing care safely, efficiently and ethically.
• Administer medications and therapies in a safe, timely and effective manner in accordance with HMC policy.
• Use communication skills to ensure that other members of the health care team, the patient and their family are fully informed.
• Demonstrate commitment to the development of other members in the healthcare team.
• Assume responsibility for own professional development through lifelong learning and maintain a professional portfolio that includes evidence of continued competence and performance improvement.
• Use data systems to enhance the quality and delivery of patient care.
• Ensure patients and those participating in research are fully informed of their rights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
