Job Summary
The Assistant Director of F&B is responsible for assisting the Director of Food & Beverage in the overall administration and operation of the F&B Division in the appointed sections. Play a major role in achieving the highest guest satisfaction levels through applying proper guidelines to the service team and constant follow‑up on service delivery and food quality checks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership to the F&B team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and guest‑centric service.Oversee all F&B outlets, ensuring seamless daily operations, maintaining the highest standards of service, and exceeding guest expectations.Collaborate with the culinary team to curate innovative menus, featuring diverse and enticing culinary offerings.Uphold and elevate our commitment to delivering the finest dining experiences, consistently seeking ways to enhance guest satisfaction.Manage the F&B budget, control costs, and optimize revenue through strategic pricing and menu development.Recruit, train, and mentor F&B staff, fostering a highly skilled and motivated team.Practice and model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.What We’re Looking For
Proven track record in F&B leadership within a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality setting.Extensive knowledge of F&B operations, including menu curation and beverage programs.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management.Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.Fluent in English and Arabic.Strong leadership, self‑motivated, excellent communication skills.Seniority Level
