DRIVER

Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of staff from camp to project location. May assist in the transport of equipment and food deliveries. May be required to drive injured / sick personnel to clinic. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a variety of records, such as purpose of trip, number of passengers per day, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drives an assigned route to transport staff to and from camp to project.
• Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of vehicle.
• Washes vehicle and cleans interior; takes vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair.
• May operate a truck / van to transport meals to various outlets / sites.
• Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment.
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• To maintain vehicle registration paper.
• To emphasize the no-smoking policy in all vehicles.
• Provide transport to staff members requiring health care.
• May drive departing staff to area office / airport.
• To deliver all mails to site as required.
• Drive the different vehicles for traffic registration and inspection.
