Description
Responsible for the daily operation and supervision of food storage areas, ensuring that laid down policies and procedures are followed in the receiving and issuing of food products, and that the required records are accurately maintained.
- Liaises with all Food Service personnel, Purchasing, project supervisor, Head Cook, and suppliers as required.
- Inspects, sorts, and stores items in prescribed storage facilities for issue when needed.
- Performs stock work by applying identification numbers to supplies; receiving and issuing materials and assisting with stock inventories.
- Operates a fork lift and other vehicles to move and stack materials, supplies, and equipment in a safe manner.
- Prepares materials disbursement and receipt reports and other reports as required.
- Uses trolley in issuing, receiving, and reclaiming materials as may be required.
- Shares responsibility at all times for security in storage areas.
- Verifies articles received against purchase orders by counting or weighing the articles.
- Is responsible for listing any discrepancies or damaged material at the time of receipt.
- May perform minor repair or maintenance work on assigned equipment and properties.
- Makes delivery of stores, inter-office mail, and other items as required to management offices.
- Does errands to nearby stores for items collection.
