The key responsibility of the BIM Manager role is to manage, coordinate, establish, and implement BIM across the projects. The BIM Manager is required to possess strong knowledge of BIM procedures, ISO19650 standards, BIM software, and technical skills to manage BIM models, contractual documents, quality checking and control, and information uses of the models. Responsibilities
Develop and drive the adoption of BIM processes and procedures aligned with ISO19650, support chain assessment, BIM kick-off meetings, work process maps, and compliance of Appointed Parties\' BIM documents and other digital deliverables following Appointing Party requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact to clients on all technical modeling matters. Manage the BIM deliverables produced by different Design Teams and ensure that information uses in the models are implemented as per EIR and BEP. Lead the development of a Pre / Post Contract BIM Execution Plan(s), and EIR’s Appendices Coordinate with the Design Teams on the model production and ensure BIM deliverables in accordance with the agreed Level of Information Need (LOIN), TIDP, MIDP, BEP and CDE protocol. Responsible for project-wide BIM Quality Assurance / Quality Control monitoring Guide Design Teams in implementing the library of objects with embedded content that provides the LOIN based on the phase and Appointing Party requirements. Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Civil / Architecture / Engineering (Preferably Master degree) Minimum 12 years’ experience in Design from an Civil / Architecture / Engineering discipline background Minimum 8 years’ experience in BIM Implementation on Major Projects or Program Minimum 4 years regional - GCC experience Expert knowledge of core BIM software packages / workflows. Ability to perform in an operational-lead capacity for model development and production management. Supervises modelling plan production, details, and advanced modelling software. Reviews output, production capacity, capability assessments, checklists / reports and applies and designs advanced modelling principles. Expert management and communication skills. Develops the baseline schedule for teams at the start of each task, tracks team progress of task assignments, coordinates staffing plans, Expert understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices and guides team on practices. Interpersonal skills, technical presentations with excellent communication skills in English Software Skills
