Senior Director – Accounting and Control
Qiddiya Investment Company is poised to redefine the entertainment and cultural landscape in Saudi Arabia, and we are excited to invite applications for the position of Senior Director – Group Accounting and Tax. This strategic leadership role will be central to ensuring our financial reporting, compliance, and tax strategies align with both corporate objectives and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will lead the group accounting and tax function, overseeing the consolidation of financial statements and ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations. Your expertise will drive strategic financial planning and optimization of tax positions while providing guidance to the executive team on financial implications and tax opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Direct the consolidation and preparation of accurate financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards
- Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the group's tax position while ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the group's operations and financial strategies
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns and ensure timely remittance of taxes owed
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and tax analyses to the executive management team
- Establish strong internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration during audits and tax assessments
- Guide and mentor the group accounting and tax teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable15+ years of experience in accounting and tax roles, with a strong focus on group consolidation and tax strategy, preferably in a multinational environmentExtensive knowledge of IFRS regulations and local tax laws, along with proven experience in managing tax compliance and planning initiativesStrong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the capacity to interpret complex financial and tax dataProven experience in leading teams, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to navigate a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectivelyProficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skillsBenefits
