Overview
The Concierge Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concierge desk to ensure that guests receive the highest quality of service in a friendly and efficient manner. This role requires maintaining Kempinski and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) service standards while fulfilling guests’ requests, handling inquiries, and coordinating with various departments to enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise concierge operations : oversee daily desk operations and ensure the team handles guest inquiries and requests, including directions, transportation arrangements, and tour reservations.
- Team coordination and grooming : supervise concierge team members to meet service standards and contribute to guest satisfaction.
- Training and motivation : conduct training for new employees and ongoing on-the-job development; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Handle guest requests and complaints : address inquiries and complaints professionally, taking corrective actions and logging issues for follow-up.
- Liaise with other departments : collaborate with front office, housekeeping, and other departments on guest requests, billing, and special requirements.
- Maintain local knowledge : stay informed on hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to provide accurate recommendations.
- Supervise luggage handling : oversee storage and handling of guest luggage in line with hotel policies.
- Support loyalty program initiatives : inform the team about loyalty programs and benefits to enhance guest recognition.
- Shift reporting and handover : provide comprehensive shift handovers and reporting on guest issues and follow-up tasks.
- Administrative duties : complete and review reports, participate in briefings, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Additional duties : perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
Education : Higher College EducationExperience : 1–2 years in a similar role (Receptionist, Guest Relation Officer, or Bell Boy) in an international 5-star hotel preferred.Language : Arabic and English – excellent oral and written skills; additional languages are beneficial.Competencies : Supervisory skills; luxury hotel experience; strong communication; general knowledge of tourist and business information; knowledge of hotel products and services.Technical Competencies : Proficiency in Microsoft Office; good knowledge of Opera.Individual Characteristics : Customer service orientation; people-focused; flexible scheduling; initiative; teamwork; good writing and listening skills; friendly and caring attitude.Seniorities and Employment
